Search visibility, designed and engineered
We make businesses easier to find, in Google and in the AI assistants people now ask for recommendations. That means the words on your site and the engineering underneath it, handled as one piece of work.
High-performance private clinic in Canterbury. Full accreditation, immediate online bookings, and transparent fees.
“Based on verified clinical listings, accredited credentials, and published fees, Canterbury Practice is cited for private care in Kent.”
The process
How it works
Three stages. You can stop after any of them.
SEO audit
We look at how well your current site performs, how findable it is in Google and AI search, and where visitors give up. You get a prioritised list of what to fix, in order of what it is worth.
Website rebuild
Some sites can be improved. Others cannot, and the audit will tell you which yours is. If a rebuild is the answer, we can build one designed to be found, and to turn the people who find it into enquiries.
Ongoing SEO
Search is not a one-off job. Each month we publish new content, keep the technical side healthy, manage your Google Business Profile, and report on what moved.
Ongoing search work is available on sites we have built, because that is where we can stand behind the code, speed, and ranking results.
AI search visibility
Why might my business not appear in AI-assisted recommendations?
Usually because the information an assistant needs is missing, unclear, or inconsistent across the places it looks.
AI-assisted search products can surface businesses differently from conventional search results. They build a picture of who you are from your website, your business listings and anywhere else you are described, then answer from that picture. If those sources disagree, or if your site never plainly states what you do and where, you tend not to come up at all.
Most local businesses have never been checked against this. It takes about twenty minutes to find out whether yours comes up, and what gets said about you when it does.

Fit & focus
Who we work with
Practices where search is a commercial decision, not an afterthought.
Search engineering pays for itself when the client lifetime value is high. A single new client is worth thousands to you, which is why most of our work is with clinics, professional practices and established service businesses.
If a new customer is worth a few hundred pounds, an audit and a rebuild will serve you better than a monthly programme, and we will say so.
Clinics & practices
Where one new patient is worth far more than the monthly fee.
Professional practices
Solicitors, accountants and consultancies, where trust is the whole sale.
Established service businesses
Trading a few years, with a real customer base to grow from.
Client work, Canterbury
The Pickle Jar Therapy
The Pickle Jar Therapy is a Canterbury therapy practice. We built and launched their site, and it has been running since.
25 of 28 first-year clients came via website touchpoints.*
How this was measured: 25 of 28 first-year clients were recorded via direct contact form submissions and phone enquiry logs over the practice's first 12 months post-launch. PageSpeed figures are lab scores from a mobile test on 7 August 2026 (run test live →). Crawl-access checks confirm that key content is available without client-side rendering and relevant crawler directives are in place.

“More Than Normal created a clear, welcoming website that truly reflects our values and makes reaching out for support straightforward for our clients. Their structured, thoughtful approach ensured the entire development process was reassuring and clear from start to finish.”

Evidence, Not Guarantees
No Speculative Ranking Guarantees
We take responsibility for the technical foundation: fast delivery, validated structured data and clear crawl/indexing controls. We never promise artificial #1 rankings.
Attribution & Multi-Channel Realism
Enquiries arise from a compounding mix of search visibility, word-of-mouth, clinical credentials, and site speed. We measure verified touchpoints without single-channel hype.
Full Code Ownership & Warranty
You own all code, content, and design assets from day one with zero vendor lock-in. Every build includes a 30-day post-launch defect warranty.

Senior-led studio
Direct accountability. No junior handoffs.
Every project at More Than Normal is led directly by a senior engineer.
We believe in direct, end-to-end responsibility. The person who plans your search strategy is the same person writing the code, setting up technical measurement, and monitoring your rankings each month.
There are no middle layers, no junior handoffs, and no diluted communication. You have direct access to an experienced senior engineer who is personally accountable for what ships.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to sign up for anything ongoing?
No. The audit is a one-off piece of work and many clients stop there. Ongoing SEO is optional, runs month to month, and needs 30 days notice to end. There is no minimum term and nothing that locks you in. The work has to keep earning its place.
How long before I see results?
Search usually takes three to six months to move. The first quarter is groundwork: fixing what is broken, publishing new content and setting up measurement. Anyone promising faster is guessing, and nobody can guarantee positions in Google, because they depend on what your competitors are doing too.
How much does an SEO audit cost?
Ours costs £450, or £750 if you want a working preview of a rebuilt site alongside it. The fee comes off the cost of a rebuild if you go ahead within 30 days. Every price is published on this page and written into the contract before work starts.
Why can I only get ongoing SEO on a site you built?
Because search work means changing the site. On platforms we do not control, the things that matter most, speed, structure and the data search engines read, depend on plugins and settings we cannot guarantee. We would rather not sell you something we cannot stand behind.
Do I own the site?
Yes. The code and assets are yours, and you can take them to another developer whenever you want. Nothing about your site depends on staying with us. Hosting sits either on your own account or is managed by us, whichever you prefer.
Who actually does the work?
A senior engineer leads your project from the first conversation through to launch, and that is who you deal with. The same person writes the audit, makes the design and technical decisions, and is accountable for what ships. Nothing is handed off between people.
What if the audit says I do not need a rebuild?
Then it says so. Some sites can be improved without rebuilding, and the report will tell you which fixes matter most and in what order. It is written to be useful to whoever acts on it, including your own developer or another agency.
What happens after the first six months of ongoing SEO?
The rate moves from £600 to £1,200 a month. The first six months are groundwork, priced lower because results are not showing yet. Both figures are in the contract from the start and we flag the change in advance, so it never arrives as a surprise.
Where to start
If you want to know where you stand, start with an audit. If you would rather talk it through first, book a call and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
